Mauritius is our only stud. We imported him from Italy several years ago from a
breeder that we’d been keeping our eye on for months. There was consistency in the quality of the cats the breeder was producing and most importantly the type.
We first made the decision to import our own stud when other avenues explored
proved to be near impossible. That’s when the two of us weighed up our options,
and with the help of Charlotte van der Riet, finally made the huge financial decision to bring Mauritius home. Months of planning, discussions and long oversees calls finally paid off. Mauritius arrived in South Africa via KLM. He appeared so relaxed and comfortable on his arrival that it’s almost as if he’d slept all the way, woke up refreshed and ready to start his new life in South Africa.
Mauritius did very well during his show career and quickly reached
Supreme status and qualified for Cape Top Cat finishing in ninth position.
He’s made us very proud, and true to his breeders promise, has produced
kittens that have gone on to do very well on show. At this rate Mauritius
should receive his Distinguished Merit award early in his life.

It took us nearly 3 full months to complete Mauritius’ stud run exactly the way we wanted it. His run is fully isolated from the weather, has his own sleeping quarters, lots of viewing areas and a special, yet fully isolated queens run for his visiting girlfriends. His area is so comfortable that we’ve been tempted to spend a night or two.
Mauritius is a very happy boy and loves the attention of anyone who cares to visit him. He would spend hours grooming us if we gave him half the chance. This is something he would do to the judges as well thereby winning the hearts of anyone that knows him.
Although Mauritius is an open stud, we do so
with caution and provided the criteria on our
services page are met in full. Mauritius is a
very special boy who’s dear to our hearts
in every way. His love and dedication to us
shows us how much he cares for us and all we
can do in return is love him back
unconditionally. Our breeding success is
dedicated to this special boy as without
Him, none of our achievement would have been possible.
